After days of ballot counting, progressive candidate Chesa Boudin has won the race for San Francisco district attorney.
While progressive victory here is not surprising, Boudin's now-accepted background and views show how radicalized the Democratic Party has become even in the last decade.
Boudin is the son of Weather Underground members who drove the getaway car during an infamous armed robbery that claimed the lives of two police officers and a security guard.
