Joe Morrissey served six months in jail for having sex with his underage secretary. He also lost his law license thanks to a lengthy disciplinary record.
In 2018, the Supreme Court of Virginia denied Morrissey's appeal to get his license back, saying that rather than take responsibility for his actions, Morrisey blamed his former employees and ex-wife.
Yet on Tuesday, Morrissey was elected to the Virginia Senate with nearly 64 percent of the vote.
