Joy Behar: Don't tell Americans before you take their guns

   Politicians seeking to confiscate guns from Americans shouldn't share their plans with the public beforehand and should seek to maintain an element of surprise, Joy Behar said on "The View" Monday.

Behar was discussing former 2020 presidential hopeful Beto O'Rourke, a Democrat from Texas, and said it was foolish of him to announce his plans for gun confiscation before he was elected. She advised all politicians to go after the country's guns after they've assumed office.

"They should not tell everything they’re going to do. If you're going to take people’s guns away, wait until you get elected -- then take the guns away," she said. "Don’t tell them ahead of time."

Bahar, Warren, O'Rourke, Biden, Hillary, none of them have ever explained WHO THEY THINK IS GOING TO TAKE THE GUNS? The police won't do it. The Armed Forces won't do it? The only people the Dems have absolutely in their pocket is the Brownshirts (antifa). But they have no standing to do it.

In any debate about confiscating guns, the kryptonite of the Democrats is, "who is going to do it?". They have no answer. And without a government sanctioned Stazi force, gun confiscation is just talk. It is a pie-in-the-sky dream with no basis in reality.

But more to the point,  this is a true boon to the GOP.   Couple Beto's announcement that he'd confiscate guns with Behar's admonition to the other Dems to keep their mouths shut and announce confiscation only after safely elected creates a perfect situation for the GOP to exploit - they can now credibly argue that ANY of the Dem contenders may have such secret plans

Nothing spurs turnout more than a credible appeal that the other side is going to take one's rights away.

Yeah the federal agencies that we didn't even know have armed agents will be the first ones to carry out that kind of order IMHO.

They are not known for putting their life on the line, which they would be doing, to invade the home of well over 50% of Americans to try to take their property.

I am well aware of what you are referring to. Under Obama every Federal Agency no matter what was armed to the teeth with military grade weapons and vehicles. But that is because Obama and his crew are stupid idiots. Nobody from the Social Security Office or the Post Office or whatever three letter bureaucracy, is going to put themselves in the line of fire. Even though that is what Obama had in mind.

Unfortunately, you are probably correct.  Yes, I do remember the feds buying up ammo and certain types of ammo became scarce and difficult to find.

Prior to that certain military bases were being closed for lack of use.  However, rumor had it that they were being "remodeled" to accommodate UN troops for the disarmament of the U.S. and to "house" those that didn't comply.  Honestly, given the mindset and attitude of the leftists, I don't see that as too far fetched.
