One of the cocky Democrats responsible for writing the party’s widely-criticized, “unfair” impeachment rules that were voted on this week is reportedly a habitual rule breaker who’s been caught employing his own girlfriend in his congressional office.

That Democrat is House Rules Committee vice-chair Alcee Hastings of Florida, who this week joined his fellow equally cocky Democrats in stonewalling efforts by Republicans to install just a modicum of fairness in their otherwise unfair and unjust impeachment rules.

Let us not forget that at one time Alcee Hastings was a federal judge in Florida,and he was convicted of fixing trials in his court,and removed from the bench. Being black,and being a judge meant he was exempt from getting a prison sentence,but his guilty conviction did NOT prevent him from running for Congress. He ran in an almost entirely black district that much admired him for taking bribes,and has been in office ever since.

He was also the chair of a congressional committee that gave him access to top secret military plans and operations. Hey,if you can't trust a federal judge who has been convicted of taking bribes and kicked off the bench with your national security secrets,who CAN you trust,right?

Why wouldn't they think that? They had unquestioned control over congress for 40 years. I remember when Newt and the Republicans took over control of congress and set some new rules,and one Dim congresscritter stood up and protested "You can't do that!" with so much anger he was trembling and shaking his fist",and Newt smiled at  him and said "Why not,YOU did.". The Dim's response was to tremble some more,shake his fist,and claim "Yes,but that doesn't mean YOU can do it!"
