PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — FBI Pittsburgh officials, Pittsburgh Police, the bomb squad and other investigators have converged on the local FBI office on the South Side this morning. ...

Investigators were focusing on a car parked towards the back of the building. A firetruck was brought in to put a barrier up near the small, orange-colored vehicle while the investigating was being conducted. ...

An FBI spokesperson tells KDKA’s Lisa Washington that there is “language” painted on the driver’s side door of the car. The white spray paint is in all capital letters and reads: “Russia plants micro radio devices in ppls ears and controls then using a sound similar to a dog whistle. Subliminal hypnosis.”  ... Man who left car at FBI gate turns himself in, receiving help

A man who left a car painted with “gibberish” at the gate of the FBI’s Pittsburgh offices on the South Side turned himself in Friday, a spokeswoman said.

The man won’t be identified, FBI spokeswoman Catherine Policicchio said. He appears to suffer from mental illness, she said, and he is receiving help with the assistance of his family.   ... More
