Breaking: Trump’s former Russia adviser subpoenaed — and now testifying

Ed MorrisseyPosted at 10:01 am on October 14, 2019

In a curious set of circumstances, former nat-sec adviser Fiona Hill has begun testifying before House committees this morning. The expert on Russian affairs served the last three administrations in various posts, most recently as an aide to Donald Trump’s national security advisers. Hill had already been scheduled to appear this morning on her own volition, but her attorney announced that the House had issued her a subpoena on top of that:

Report: Trump’s Former Russia Aide Who Will Testify in Impeachment Probe Linked to Christopher Steele

Edwin Mora 14 Oct 2019

U.S. President Donald Trump’s former top aide on Russia and Europe, Fiona Hill, is expected to appear Monday for a private deposition in the House Democrats’ impeachment probe.

Hill officially left her post in the National Security Council (NSC) in August after serving about two and a half years.

Hill, however, handed over her responsibilities a week before U.S. President Donald Trump made the call to his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky on July 25. She may not know much about the conversation.

Doesn't matter. Whats important is they found someone who'll talk to them.

This headline misses the mark. Trump’s former adviser is actually Obama’s former adviser held over in the Trump administration. A blunder (not immediately firing every Obama hold-over) Trump must surely regret.

Anyway, an ambassador is supposed to represent the president favorably. Not bad mouth him abroad, which was what she was doing in Ukraine.

The president has an absolute right to his hand-picked ambassador. Glad she’s gone.

And she wants to testify.  She volunteered, but Schiff issued a subpoena anyways, because it sounds better to say "She testified under threat of a subpoena" than to say she couldn't wait to kick Trump.

It'll be interesting to hear why it is she's so anxious, even if she has nothing relevant to the Ukraine deal.

The body of the story informs that Hill worked for Dubya, and Obama before serving as President Trumps Russia aid for the NSC and nearly outlasting four Trump appointed Secretaries of Homeland Security.  Not bad.

Dr. Fiona Hill is not an ambassador.  You are referencing former Ukrainian ambassador Marie Yovanovitch who testified 3 days ago.  People who think they got crapped on by their superior sometimes hold a grudge.  I would suggest the next time President Trump wants to trade weapons for campaign dirt, he is nicer to the people that might stand in his way when he removes them.  Maybe even come up with an excuse even though he doesn't have to.  I hope President Trump treated Hill well when she was left, but I guess he probably didn't because I've seen how he treats almost everybody who has quit, or he fired.

She doesn't like Trump so you know what kind of *testimony* she will give..

It will probably have something to do with walking past a tapestry.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Hill was a Russian aid for the NSC and Deputy Assistant to Trump.  It stands to reason when was involved with Russian affairs.  She may be very interesting to the rats and the "Deep State."  According to Breitbart, the rats, MSM, and the "Deep State" have maligned our hard working patriotic President Trump with a phony witch-hunting Russia hoax.  This has gone on longer than Donald Trump has been President, all in an effort to nullify the 2016 elections.  Calling Hill to testify might have less to do with the one month old Ukraine call story, and more to do with the narrative the rats, MSM, and the deep state have written for the last three years.

Fortunately they will never find anything because according to Breitbart, our President so loves the flag and America, that he can not be corrupted.   :patriot:
