House conservative introduces resolution to censure Schiff
By Juliegrace Brufke - 09/27/19 01:14 PM EDT

A House conservative has introduced a measure to censure House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) in an attempt to condemn the Democratic chairman for using "parody" when recounting details of President Trump's call with the leader of Ukraine.

House Freedom Caucus Chairman-elect Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) introduced the resolution Friday shortly after Trump took to Twitter to demand Schiff’s resignation over his remarks, which focused on the president's July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Schiff had pointed to a reconstituted transcript of the conversation released by the White House, but paraphrased some points and offered an exaggerated version of the discussion, including saying that Trump directed Zelensky to “make up dirt on my political opponent” a full “seven times.”

It'll likely got nowhere other than a circular file, but the Rs need to call out and highlight Dems' crap.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

In politics, truly futile actions are rare.  This would get the Rats and RINOs down on paper.

Opinion
House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy has a Schiff fit
by Quin Hillyer
 | October 02, 2019 05:22 PM

From all sides of the Ukraine-impeachment controversy, the descent into puerility continues. The latest bit of juvenile behavior, wasting the time of the people’s House, comes from Republican House Leader Kevin McCarthy supporting a censure motion against Democratic House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff.

A formal House censure is a very serious thing, adopted only five times in the past 53 years. Yet McCarthy and Schiff, both Californians, act as if they are vying for supremacy in a playground sandbox. McCarthy, however, is the one now having the tantrum.

McCarthy’s complaint is that Schiff dared to dramatize for effect what Schiff considers to be the implicit message President Trump was sending in the July 25 call with the president of Ukraine. “[Mr. Schiff] is so desperate to damage the president,” charged McCarthy, “[that] he literally made up a false version of a phone call.”

Well, no. In Schiff’s rather nastily tendentious opening statement at a hearing on the subject last week, the chairman wanted to stress a particular interpretation of the July 25 transcript. Here’s exactly how he introduced his summary (at the four-minute mark):

Eighty-seven House Republicans have moved to censure House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) for telling a fictional story relating to President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Eighty-seven House Republicans have joined the movement to rebuke Rep. Schiff by cosponsoring House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Biggs’ (R-AZ) H. Res. 604, according to a list obtained by Breitbart News. H. Res. 604 would condemn Schiff for retelling a fabricated conversation between Zelensky and Trump.

Schiff also allegedly lied about having never spoken to the Ukrainian intelligence officer “whistleblower.”

Rep. Biggs’ legislation has continued to gain strong support from across the House Republican conference, reaching from House Freedom Caucus conservatives, to moderates, as well as House Republican Leadership.

Two weeks ago, the resolution quickly gained 18 cosponsors. Last Thursday, Breitbart News reported 45 House Republicans have cosponsored the resolution. Last Friday, the bill gained 61 cosponsors. On Monday, the resolution had 73 sponsors, and now, as of Tuesday afternoon, the bill has 87 sponsors.

The bill’s growing list of Republican sponsors shows the GOP has moved to defend President Donald Trump against House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry.

When Biggs sponsored the bill, he said Schiff’s stunt was “inexcusable” to “mislead the American public with such a statement.”

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA), and House Republican Conference chairwoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) have sponsored the resolution to condemn Schiff.

The 72 Republicans who have cosponsored Biggs’ resolution to condemn Schiff include:

    Kevin McCarthy

The list in the article is of 72 members. Last update there were 87 but I can't find their names. There are 197 republicans minus two who have resigned, so over a hundred need to step up.

A motion to censure House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., for his “parody” reading of President Trump’s July phone call with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky during a hearing last month is gaining steam with House Republicans, as Fox News has learned 125 lawmakers have now signed on as co-sponsors.

The resolution to censure Schiff -- who has become a favorite target of Republicans for his role in the Trump impeachment inquiry -- was first introduced late last month by Rep. Andy Biggs, the Arizona Republican who chairs the conservative House Freedom Caucus, and has the support of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., and House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., among other ranking Republicans in the lower chamber of Congress.

Democrats have the majority and control the floor in the House, but Republicans could still attempt to force a vote on the matter.

Only Americans concerned about Democrats trying to remove a duly elected President by less than legal/ethical means.

@txradioguy Will they do that with failed resolutions?  I'm skeptical.
