A second intelligence official is reportedly weighing blowing the whistle on President Trump's communications with Ukraine.

The New York Times reported Friday that two people briefed on the matter indicated the official is considering whether to file his own whistleblower complaint and testify before Congress. The official is said to have more direct information on the president's July phone call with the leader of Ukraine than the first whistleblower, whose complaint alleged that Trump used his power as president to urge Ukraine to probe former Vice President Joe Biden, his political rival.

The initial whistleblower, an unnamed CIA officer, did not have direct knowledge of the call, indicating, "I was not a direct witness to most of the events described" in the original complaint letter. However, the Intelligence Community watchdog’s office revealed that the whistleblower checked two boxes on the August complaint: “I have personal and/or direct knowledge of events or records involved” and “other employees have told me about events or records involved.”

The second official is among those who were interviewed by Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson to corroborate the original whistleblower's claims. A new complaint may add credibility to the first whistleblower's complaint.

A new whistleblower has come forward — through an attorney — to claim first-hand knowledge of the now-infamous call between President Trump and the Ukraine president.

And another lawyer — Andrew Bakaj — representing the first whistleblower now says there are more whistleblowers to come.

President Donald Trump appears to be unconcerned about the second whistleblower who claims to have more allegedly damaging information about his phone call over the summer with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“The first so-called second hand information ‘Whistleblower’ got my phone conversation almost completely wrong, so now word is they are going to the bench and another ‘Whistleblower’ is coming in from the Deep State, also with second hand info,” the president tweeted dismissively on Saturday night.

“Meet with Shifty. Keep them coming!” he added in mockery of congressional Democrats.

House GOP Intel member: 'Why should I care about' another Trump whistleblower

Republican Rep. Chris Stewart (Utah), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, on Sunday dismissed the potential implications of a second whistleblower coming forward with allegations related to President Trump's dealings with Ukraine.

Asked on "Fox News Sunday" whether he was concerned about the development, the congressman replied, “Well, actually, not at all."


“One of our concerns has always been there hasn’t been firsthand knowledge of this. The first whistleblower, virtually everything he accused was second and thirdhand knowledge," Stewart said, before arguing that a new whistleblower would only confirm what the public already knows about Trump's July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

There's an upside to all these Resist-leakers' self-outing. The transcript of Trump's phone call is known: no quid pro quo; no arm-twisting; not targeting Joe. So these Resist-leakers are just making their exit noises ... ending their ability to harm Trump.

The only thing that will matter is if the House takes a vote and votes for impeachment.  I have no doubt that they have the votes and I do have some doubt that the Senate is Trump's safety net.

And there you have it. The DNC doesn't even care about losing these assets because the people they are trying to influence are the typical "start paying attention to politics a month before the election" types. The "sorta" hear this now by skimming the news reports at night,but aren't interested enough to do any followup. Yet,the seed is planted in their heads,and will only continue to grow because they never bother to check and see if the information they heard has been dismissed as lies. They remember the accusations,and never hear about the dismissals.

Still,taking out the trash is always a good thing because it leaves the left with one less asset in high places.
