Feinstein calls for 'word-for-word' transcript of Trump call at heart of impeachment inquiry

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said after closed-door briefings with the acting director of national intelligence and the intelligence community inspector general that she wants a "word-for-word" transcript of President Trump's call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
 
Feinstein, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee and the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, said the whistleblower complaint tied to Trump "suggests that an 'official word-for-word transcript of the call' was produced."
 

"If so, it should be provided to Congress for review. Congress has a constitutional oversight duty. It’s important that we understand who took actions to hide details of the call with Zelensky and how high those actions reached," Feinstein said.

This is nutso.   The content of Presidential telephone calls with world leaders have always been considered confidential.  That they were secured against leakers within the government itself is not evidence of nefarious "hiding".

Feinstein used to be one of the more respected Dem Senators.   Now she's as much an amoral partisan idiot as the rest of 'em.

I don't know when she lept the lunacy-cliff, though it became obvious a year ago with her participation in slandering Brett Kavanaugh. As for respect, well, I respected her more than Babs Bouncer, not that she's a standard of excellence. Or even of mere mediocrity.
