An Egyptian human rights organization which operates as an observer member of the United Nations Human Rights Council has revealed the total number of  "terrorist operations '' around the world, since early 2019 to August of the same year, despite international efforts exerted to combat terrorism.

According to statistics issued by Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights, a copy of which was obtained by North-Press, the past period of this year "has witnessed many terrorist attacks", as the statistics revealed, in numbers, the terrorist operations and resulting victims, during  January 2019 to mid-August 2019.

A total of 1,344 "terrorist operations and armed attacks" were carried out, resulting in the deaths of 5,906 people in different parts of the world, especially in countries experiencing internal crises and conflicts, including Syria.

Each terrorist group had a share of these crimes, according to the statistical data, the Islamic State group (ISIS) has committed 308 terrorist attacks, resulting in 1,259 deaths (although the group was defeated on the ground in Syria and Iraq). As for Taliban movement, it has carried out 157 terrorist attacks; resulting in 1,154 deaths....
