All of that is technically true. But I have seen how senior officers behave around Congressmen. While they may not actually salute her in a military sense, still they would be walking on eggshells around her. She certainly would not be treated like an everyday ordinary soldier. It would necessarily disrupt the chain of command. I don't see any way that could be avoided.

OK, I've seen, I believe, the text of Trump's Tweet. What I did not see was any statement or hint that US forces would be under Saudi command. US armies serving under foreign commanders would not be a new thing, but Gabbard seems to be condemning, in rather pungent terms, something Donald trump did not say. Did I miss something? Or is Gabbard suddenly afraid she hasn't been hate-loony enough?

No, you missed nothing.  Gabbard just put words in Trump's mouth, then violated Article 88 of the UCMJ to attack him.

Her attempt at the Presidency is all over but the shouting, which she's doing right now.  Who knows what's motivating her now.

I agree.  I was just pointing out that they don't get saluted, and certainly not by more senior officers.
