I think he more than tipped the scales. His in your face style, nicknaming, and tweeting turned them into 'hair on fire" hysterical fools. They have never been confronted by someone who not only fights back, but keeps fighting and never backs off. The Rats have always been able to sling mud and not worry about it being thrown back because the Pub POTUS was too busy being "presidential".

What most people fail to grasp is that Trump is effective precisely because he hasn’t changed his personality to “act†presidential. He remains his genuine self—a tough, smart negotiator.
And if he were to start doing what his critics tell him, to stop tweeting, change his tone or soften his rhetoric he would be a phony. He would never sell himself out that way.
