It would be nice to have a Conservative in the White House for a change.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

I am / and was a 2016 Cruz POTUS supporter.

No rocks here either.  Country has moved too far left to ever elect anyone this conservative.

I believe that the deep state hates Cruz more than they do Trump and I also believe that Trump held Priebus in his pocket.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

I agree.

I believe that at this point in time, our chances of preserving this Republic are twofold. Slim and none!

Most all Republicans knew how spineless and ripe for the taking the GOP was in 2015/16.  Trump just had a better game plan and won, buying off the Evangelicals didn't hurt either.
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Yes it would.
But I would gladly trade that any day for a Conservative Congress with Conservative  leadership.

What did they get?

In return for (some) their endorsement of Trump before Super Tuesday, I don't know what they got, Christianity is still under assault and Falwell's still dispelling rumors of distasteful acts and the abortion industry is still alive and well in the US.  Another sad statistic is the NRA, it has imploded as of late.
I posted an article a few weeks ago about Liberty University (Cruz kicked off his campaign there) and the Falwell endorsement of Cruz promised to his father, Trump's longtime attorney Cohen even discussed this (I know he's now a known liar).  I suppose @mountaineer that 'buy off' was a poor choice of words on my part and the more correct vernacular would be 'blackmail'.

Despite your response, corbe, I still don't know what evangelicals who voted for Trump got. I voted him solely because he wasn't Hillary - and I knew she was pure evil. There were no other choices.
I've gotten nothing, although my investments have soared.

Nothing is absolute, and it can turn on a dime. But we are definitely heading in the wrong direction, at top speed.

I certainly never thought that I would ever witness so many candidates running on a socialistic platform.  Never.  I fear for my children and grandchildren.  America.  What will they do without her?

Immigration is worse than it was under Obama, and the deficit is worse than it was under Obama.

Right. All going in the same direction and picking up speed.

What did they get?

I don't know.  Church politics?
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

Yeah well just let an Elizabeth Warren ruin the country for 4 years and the country we will be ready for Conservatism.  Socialism would be the cure to liberalism.
