Sincere question, @Right_in_Virginia why do you say "this has been overruled lately "?

You have a PM ... this is not the conversation for a public thread.

I had a BM and it also is not the conversation for a public thread.  But I did eat at Ryans Steak House one time.

When we first started we tried a Religion Cat...it took over the whole forum and there were so many bigoted fights we deleted it.

That's your problem right there....  having had both cats and dogs for decades, you would have been better off trying a dog....  Cats tend to be more "spiritual" than "religious" from what I've seen...

I don't mind an occasional thread on religious news.....but no to a Cat

Thank you @mystery-ak .  I came from another place (that shall remain nameless, lol) and it became Dodge City.  I once accidently posted on the Religion Forum. When I realized what I had done...it scared me silly. happy77

How many times have we tried to tell our simple tale of humanity at its most vulnerable, yet at its most resourceful?   Yet we get shot down every time....

It's easier to like some people the less you know about them.  Bowel movements fall into the "way too damn much information about anyone" category.

Like shoes,  there's an awful lot you could tell about a person by their stools. Where they have been. when they should be going to the doctor..

BMs are just the vehicle....

This is a Tale-teller's Tale!!

You can't believe the twists and turns that come about....  it has you in stitches of laughter at one point, only to be taken aback by the next zany happenstance to occur....  our protagonist is never short on resourcefulness as he plods from one hilarious event to the next....  and his loving wife, the heroine of the story, is admirable in her dedication....

In short, it is classic American modern literature.....  not that many here care about that.....

It is hard to write today's cautionary tales.  But it is an of the cross, many have to carry.

The only reason I post it is because Falwell Jr. has injected himself into politics to an even greater degree than his father. I have consistently argued here that Falwell Jr. is not, nor has he ever been, a religious leader, simply because he shared the name and inherited some not-directly-religious operations from his father.

Call it confirmation bias, call it what you will, but this article describes what I've long suspected about him: he's a businessman riding his father's name and that Jonathan was the true successor to Falwell's ministry. (Though the wife-as-Rasputin angle... that's new. I'm not sure whether to believe that one or not, though it wouldn't surprise me.)

You are correct, @jmyrlefuller

The discussion about Falwell, Jr. is not religious, it is political.

Because he is not religious.  He is political.

There is a place on any Conservative forum for discussions about polit-evangelists like Falwell, Jr.  It is not even remotely the same as the hideous religion forums at places like TOS that, IMO, came directly from hades.

No.  Spiritual as in "I am god, and you must do my bidding."
