I read how wine growers say, may be suffering while this is a tariff war on technology.

Nobody fights a war because war itself is beneficial.  You fight a war because you anticipate a peace that is better than what you had.

I understand what you are saying but do not agree totally.

History shows us some countries went to war also in order to keep patriotism and nationalism at high levels.

Portraying another as an enemy is a classic maneuver by politicians to rally its citizens.  And it works as sometimes the war never ended.  On purpose.
