Pentagon confirms provision of military aid for Ukraine in 2019
U.S. to allocate 250 million dollars to boost the country's security and defense

U.S. Department of Defense has reconsidered provision of military assistance for Ukraine, deciding to carry on. Thus, Pentagon will assign 250 million dollars for that matter.

Politico quoted a senior Pentagon official who said that the Department supports the assistance package.

"Congress approved $250 million for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative in fiscal 2019. President Donald Trump had previously authorized the sale of lethal weapons, including Javelin anti-tank missiles, to help confront separatist forces backed by Russia. But in recent days the White House Office of Management and Budget has delayed the funds and asked Defense Secretary Mark Esper and national security adviser John Bolton to determine if the program remains in the best interest of the United States", the outlet wrote.

So, these are only news reports, not always verified but this sounds like the $250 million dollars of aid is approved.

Is this aid though, just given away? We do that for a number of countries, just saying, I'm glad this is "approved" if so....

Trump Considers Blocking $250 Million in Ukraine Military Aid
Payout is paused, would expire at end of September if not paid
Jason Ditz Posted on August 29, 2019Categories NewsTags Trump, Ukraine

President Trump is strongly considering   blocking $250 million in military aid to Ukraine, according to US officials familiar with the process. This is centered on whether the money would be justified by US interests.

...

The Pentagon reportedly supports aid to the Ukraine because they view it as tantamount to fighting Russia. The Pentagon has, however, declined to specifically comment on the internal process.

...

$250 million in aid, however, is not going to transform Ukraine’s struggling security forces into a rival for Russia, and if anything may threaten ceasefires in Eastern Ukraine, where Europe has tried to broker a peace process.

Salvini has his flare up in Italy apparently and seems out of power. If Trump makes unpopular decisions, he could end up having the same fate from what I can tell, though,  the end of the article has some interesting info.  Could Ukraine find other sources at this point? Israel? Elsewhere?  250 million isn't the largest sum for independent countries.

Ukraine is not in the top 10, who knows if they are even in the top 15, maybe top 20. A lot of aid to African nations.

I'm not sure how this breaks down in sending countries weapons, foods and so on. Just posting this. I don't know much about whom this website is from.

A lot of aid to African countries.
