Sanctuary cities and lack of vetting continue to fuel illegal alien crime
Daniel Horowitz · August 23, 2019

Every day, there are stories of Americans or immigrants being murdered, raped, or assaulted either by illegal aliens who could have been deported if not for sanctuary cities, by those admitted legally without proper vetting, or by those who have exploited immigration loopholes that should be closed.

Unfortunately, unlike the soul-searching that takes place after each mass shooting as to what sort of gun control policies can be enacted to somehow prevent a criminal from getting a gun, there is no soul-searching from a single prominent member of Congress after any one of these criminal alien cases as to what can be done to enforce national sovereignty and better prevent crime. There are no questions of how to close to the criminal alien loopholes, clamp down on sanctuary cities, or enforce our immigration laws to prevent 100 percent avoidable crimes.

Here is just a tiny sample of some of the most recent cases that should spawn a debate in Congress when it returns from recess in September.

To all the politicians who want their lawns mowed I say do it yourself.  Or have your spoiled rich children do it for you.

AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

  • WE are NOT ok!
I was quite surprised in reading this article that it states "there is no soul-searching from a single prominent member of Congress after any one of these criminal alien cases as to what can be done to enforce national sovereignty and better prevent crime..."  Nothing could be further from the truth!

Senator Ted Cruz came forward with "Kate's Law" after she was murdered by an illegal alien -- it failed -- failed due to lack of votes and opposition.  The law would have amended the Immigration and Nationality Act to increase penalties for individuals who illegally reenter the United States after being deported. It would have also created a new penalty for any person denied admission or deported three or more times and then reenters illegally and would have created a five year mandatory minimum for illegal reentry for an individual who has a prior felony or convicted of illegal reentry twice before.

Keep in mind that Kate Steinle was murdered in San Francisco, a sanctuary city, by a five-time deported illegal immigrant who also had seven felony convictions.  A similar bill was re-introduced in the House and passed but never passed the Senate so the bill died. The  DEMS prohibited Kate's Law from becoming a reality.

Sanctuary cities and the continued assault on American citizens is appalling.  We can thank the DEMS under the leadership of Pelosi and Schumer!
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.
