The Secure Fence Act was voted in favor of by BOTH parties and signed by 'W' back in 2006 -- it was never fully funded and if memory serves correctly about 700 miles of fencing was erected here an there.

It is NOT unrealistic to expect that some form of barrier protect the entire border.

The problem has never been about approval (since both parties agreed to a fence) but $$$.  Trump now has the $$,and he has always had the authority to defend our borders --- he just hasn't done it because of convenient excuses, especially since he had a full majority for 2 years.  My books, there is no excuse.  There is no excuse that he signed a bill allowing states to opt out. There is no excuse that he offered up amnesty. 

Now he's contemplating adding red flag laws. Neither equates to him being re-electable.

He claims to be Mr. 2A himself, he needs to prove it.  Otherwise, he WILL lose in 2020.  No doubt in my mind.

What should be done?  They would have to come up with a solution that wouldn't include chain migration.  That would not allow their illegal immigrant parents citizenship.  That would say they must be self sufficient.  No welfare of any kind for ten years.  Must not have any gang affiliations.  Must never have committed a felony.  Must have graduated from High School at the minimum.


I could see giving citizenship to DACA who have served this country too.

I actually think he's doing a great job, the exact opposite of what I expected and better than most I can remember, about not abusing the power of the Executive.  He got off to a rough start, but I admire the way he has let Congress (fail to) do their job.  I kind of wish he'd pick some fights with the lower courts, but all in all I think he's doing great in this regard.

IF he goes through with the red flag laws which do infringe on our 2nd, 5th and 14th amendments, he will in essence be handing over our rights to the leftists.  So everything that he has accomplished will be for naught.  That's the sad part.

Until and unless we know what is in the proposed legislation we're still just speculating and borrowing upset.  Let's wait until September before we jump all over the one man, again, standing in defense of the 2A.

While Greenland is highly autonomous, Denmark, for now, has the last word.
Ironically, its Inuit population evolved from Asian Mongoloids long ago.
Some 80% of that island/nation is inside the Arctic Circle, so its terrain
is mountainous as well as sheathed in ice.
It's value is in it's energy resources which geologists have examined favorably.
Incidentally, we have an AF Base at Thule.
It's not as preposterous as it may sound because we have the capital to exploit
its valuable resources, while Denmark does not.
