CNN Misrepresents Food Processing Employment Raid, Immigrant Detainment
by Marissa Martinez on August 9, 2019
The United States saw the largest employment raid and illegal immigration detainment since George W. Bush’s presidency in 2008.
On Wednesday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations took nearly 700 food processing employees who were in the U.S. illegally to a detainment facility for questioning and further action.
ICE and HSI have also been holding the food processing facilities accountable for hiring undocumented immigrants without the proper paperwork.
