The old dishwasher in my house (probably installed in the late 50's or early 60's broke down almost 30 years ago.

Never bothered to get it fixed. It was installed into a combined metal sink/dishwasher assembly and I doubt they sell anything like it any more (and I'm not rebuilding the kitchen for just a dishwasher).

I don't really use that many dishes, anyway.
