Trump Calls for More Law and Order Now

In the wake of President Donald Trump’s recent comments to Representative Elijah Cummings about the poor conditions found in his district of West Baltimore, there has been much controversy. Many, including most liberals and Cummings himself, claim that these statements are based on race, bringing attention to the fact that many of the residents in the more deprived areas of this district are African American.
However, the more accurate statement is that Trump is calling attention to the lack of law and order that prevails in Baltimore, which has one of the highest crime rates in the nation. The subject of law and order has always been one that our president has said we need more of.
When he first ran for office in 2016, this became a significant part of his campaign, with him even claiming to be the “law and order candidate.†Could it be that we actually have a president who is merely trying to do what he promised he would? It would be quite a shock in light of some of our past presidents.
