The Baltimore home of Democratic Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings was reportedly burglarized over the weekend.

The break-in at his home took place Saturday at around 3:40 a.m. and police are investigating whether anything was stolen, CBS 13 reports. It remains unclear if the 68-year-old was in the home at the time.

Cummings took fire from President Trump over the weekend, with the president attacking him over Twitter. The reported break-in occurred before the tweeting began.

Trump targeted the 68-year-old congressman, who is chairman of the House Oversight Committee, after comments that were critical of his immigration policies and for attempts by House Democrats to push the Russian collusion narrative and obstruction claims. In one tweet, Trump took considerable flak for calling Cummings' Baltimore district a “disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess” where “no human would want to live.”

A burglary occurred at Rep. Elijah Cummings Baltimore home, almost a whole day before liberals argued President Trump's criticism of Cummings' Baltimore district was blatantly racist. (CBS 13)
 

    At this time, police don't know if any property was taken.

    This was several hours before President Donald Trump tweeted criticizing Cummings and his district including Baltimore.

Fair enough.  Still, it would be amusing for someone to track down any rental properties he owns (I’m sure he owns something), and do a code violation check on all of them.  I bet one would find some violations.  That would make him no better than Kushner.

My GUESS is he owns the building as a corporation,and then "rents" half of it out to another corporation as a storage space,and that way he gets to store evidence against him in the same building he lives in,while making it immune to a search warrant.

He can also "rob" himself any time it is convenient.

Hell,for all we know he "rents" it to a minority business owned by him in someone elses name in order to get the tax breaks that come from renting to minorities and minority businesses.
