I only listed the top 10 (full list at link).  I'm surprised that Bernie and Buttgig are ranked so highly.

POWER RANKING: Here's who has the best chance of becoming the 2020 Democratic presidential nominee

10: New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.

9: Washington Gov. Jay Inslee.

8: Andrew Yang.

7: Former San Antonio Mayor and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro.

6: New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker.

5: California Sen. Kamala Harris.

What in heaven’s name does ANYBODY see Elizabeth Warren????
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

She seems like the most sane of the group.  Until you actually think about her proposals.

I see a lot in Elizabeth Warren!  ALL of it very bad!   **nononono*

I think Warren has wanted the presidency for awhile but was smart enough not to oppose Hillary. I am not surprised that she is doing so well as she has been groomed for the presidency for awhile now.

I shutter thinking about her inflicting harsh gun control and dismantling the 2A as well as free (?) Medicare for all.  With the recent shootings the 2A is going to be prime target for the DEMS and I am sure that they see these as a wonderful opportunity for them.

She of course has name recognition, is female, and has appealed to the LGBT group before as well as the millennial.

Here is where she stands on the issues.  Not quite as radical as the Squad, but clearly in my books a socialist.

Hafta demur as you guys left out the key player!
The one to beat is de Blasio who is the most creative and inventive of that entire posse!
Consider, he was baptized Warren Wilhelm Junior, then changed it to Warren de Blasio-Wilhelm
and still later to William de Blasio.
But stay tuned as he's still a young man.
Can't wait for him and Trumpet to square off in the POTUS debates.
Bet it'll be on the level of Marcus Cicero and Quintus Catullus.
Hmm......................

  • Dems-greatest existential threat to USA republic!
So, based on this weakly structured criteria, when Hillary announces she is running, all the members of the clown car fall to a Tier 2 category.

If Warren is the best this survey produces, then Trump is definitely NOT losing sleep at night.  He would have so much fun if she were the candidate.

Yeah, but I'll bet two tacos every one of them makes more money this year campaigning than you and I do.  $350K to the "wife" as "campaign consultant", $250K to the "daughter" as "social media advisor", etc, etc.

My two cents. I’d love to see a woman President in my lifetime. But I don’t think it will happen for another cycle 2024.

Warren's chances depend on knocking Sanders out early. She'll get most of his supporters and it would seem logical for him to actively support her over the others. That would make her hard to beat. Bernie won't like losing, but any good socialist has to be willing to put the ideology above his personal ambitions.

IMHO, any female is going to be trouble for Trump as he is going to have to contain himself and not go after their gender in any way like he did with Meghan Kelley and Carly Fiorina.  He needs to run on record only and current state of affairs; otherwise he'll be labeled as sexist and a womanizer and hand the keys to the oval office to one of them.

Secondly,a Warren win is going to be all but guaranteed if she picks a VP of color.

I think Warren as the nominee would be a tough win for Trump.  The easiest wins would be Biden, Buttgig or Bernie.

Maybe, but like Sanders, it's hard to see Warren moving to the center. Because of that, I think she would need a VP with strong swing-state appeal. Not sure who that might be - Sherrod Brown comes to mind except that he's just as far left as Warren.

I'm probably biased but Warren seems every bit as unlikable as Clinton - not in that smarmy self-entitled scam artist way but more of a shrill, rigid, preachy, scary fanatic.

We can always hope that Warren would motivate an independent candidate like Schultz or Bloomberg - maybe even a last-gasp shot by Biden? Remember last year when it became apparent that the party was all-in on socialism there were calls for Biden to run as an independent where his baggage wouldn't be as much of a drag.

I still think if Biden can manage to stumble through the primaries without self-destructing he's more likely to get the nomination. But I think the chances of that are slim.

He won't be able to do that.  That kind of self-restraint requires maturity and the absence of narcissism.

He won't be able to stop himself, because he never IS able to stop himself.

Fortunately, Warren's policies will richly deserve the most savage ridicule Trump or anyone else can come up with. If he can confine himself to that for the most part he could be OK - maybe better than with Clinton where her character and trustworthiness - or lack of - were the main issue.

I'm afraid that is exactly what the DEMS are counting on...and they are probably already working on numerous false accusations to get him going.  It is what they do best.

Not to belabor the obvious but history shows that cultures/societies get
the governance they tolerate and deserve.
We are in a very bad place currently, of our own making.
Compare our first Five Presidents to our last Five and reflect a moment!
Thank you for listening.

I think she needs a little more balance on the ticket than that - she's trying hard to pretend she's not really a socialist. I don't think Bernie would go for it anyway.
