For what its worth I respect your opinion.

But on the other hand it'd be easy to make the case that compared to recent GOP presidents and major political figures, Trump's been pretty good for the conservative cause.

Anyway even more so than in 2016 he's the only game in town.
@skeeter

For what it’s worth, I think this is a PERFECT reply.

Exactly my point...someone may not like what your conscience dictates, but it’s none of their damn business.

No, none of their business and no skin off their you know what.  Plus, it doesn't bother me if/when someone disses me for who I choose to vote for.... since I couldn't possibly care less what anyone thinks about my choice.
No quarter given to the enemy within...ever.

You can vote your way into socialism, but you have to shoot your way out of it.

For what it's worth, I'm with the "live and let live" crowd.

Seriously, who gives a tinker's damn if someone:

- says that they hate Trump?
- says that they love Trump?
- says that they will never vote for Trump?
- says that they will always vote for Trump?

But again @DCPatriot ....that’s their prerogative....trumpeters need to just let bygones by bygones, accept their decision.  We are each only culpable to our own conscience.

The trump wars would evaporate if both sides would simply say, “your call, friend”

Throws his supporters under the bus.  That could be the end of rally crowds
and everything else.

Yes, I would have been proud to say she should go back.

Well, thanks, but I think he’s kind of relabeled what conservative is, especially from a fiscal standpoint. I’ve been told by others here he’s a populist and the notion of conservatism is passé.
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

Now I'm really confused.   Didn't Trump tweet that part about 'go back' to where they came from....and that if they don't like America they can leave.  It's no wonder the Trump supporters took the chant there.  I mean...

duh.

A case of don't follow the leader.

Uh....  He's an axe slinger, after all.    :laugh:

They claim it's not a binary choice, but they won't name somebody they'd prefer.   Just content to sit on the sidelines...arms folded, singing, "Not my circus...not my monkeys"    Truly bizarre and funny at the same time.

@DCPatriot
To do otherwise would be to endorse that which I am adamantly against and absolutely abhor - Namely Big Fed, Big Spending liberalism. That you suppose your guy to be the lesser evil is quite beside the point. Y'all suggest that  am on the sidelines because I will not endorse your liberal against the other liberal... That is a distinction without a difference

My current choice, if no other:

[X] NONE OF THE ABOVE.

If a Conservative runs - A Conservative according to his record, I will vote for him - Hell, I'll be the first in line.

But I am sick and tired of phony 'conservatives in quotes' that do nothing to move the ball  - To include liberal Tumpy the Clown.

Never ever again.

For being a man of such a high intellect, you seem to lack any sense of pragmatism.

IMHO, Donald Trump is a gift to us.  It's Divine Providence.   happy77

@DCPatriot

There is no pragmatism in voting for that which I abhor. A lesser liberalism is liberalism all the same. And when the Dems loft a communist, all y'all will be happily supporting a socialist.
There's your pragmatism, right there. And the stench of it is unbearable.

Fine YOU drag his fat ass over the finish line.

As somebody said upthread... Not my circus, not my monkey.
And I really mean that. I will not be responsible for the trillions your boy is racking up.
But you will be. You support it. You endorse it freely.

As to Divine Providence, and a gift from God - You are probably more right than you know.

And you believe that your non-participation gives you absolution.  That's puerile, IMO...but carry on, my friend.

Actually it DOES.

The Bible warns against going with the crowd for popularity's sake , and against supporting lies just because the crowd does. To be honorable and stand upon principle can not be against God.

So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”  And he said, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God of hosts; because the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life.”  Then the Lord said to him: “Go, return on your way to the Wilderness of Damascus; and when you arrive, anoint Hazael as king over Syria.  Also you shall anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi as king over Israel. And Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place.  It shall be that whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and whoever escapes the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill.  Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.”

1 Kings 19:13-18

Only problem is that Trump has stated that he doesn't agree with his crowd saying "send her back".  That could be a very big problem.  It sure makes him look like he's siding with the leftists. At first he calls out Omar, but then when his crowd agrees with him and voices their disapproval of her as well, he then says he doesn't agree??  He is sending a mixed message.  He'd be best to now let it go.

Hopefully she won't ask for an apology and then he comply.  That would be game over with Omar the winner.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
