House votes to kill impeachment effort against Trump

The House on Wednesday voted 332-95 to kill the first articles of impeachment brought forward under the new Democratic majority, showing off a deep divide among Democrats on whether to go forward with an effort to unseat President Trump.

A majority of Democrats along with the chamber's Republicans voted to table the measure sponsored by Rep. Al Green(D-Texas), but 95 Democrats voted to send it to the Judiciary Committee in order to keep it alive.

It's the first time the Democratic House has been confronted with a vote on impeachment, and comes a week before special counsel Robert Mueller is set to testify before two committees on Capitol Hill.

So what's the political fallout of this? On the surface it seems to give Trump an easy though possibly temporary victory; it hands him a golden opportunity to mock the House for wasting time on it when they should be working on real issues; that will hopefully goad the AOC faction to heightened frenzies that will further split the party?

And as long as I'm engaging in wishful thinking, what about the possibility of Sanders running as the socialist he actually is if a "moderate" gets the nomination? At that point he has no ongoing political motivation to preserve his phony Democrat identity.

Phony Democrat identity goes far beyond Sanders. AOC, Omar and the squad, and many others are not married to the DNC or the Democrat Party, even though they claim to be Democrats. Some are Nationalist Socialists, some are Islamic Supremacists, some are Black Nationals, some are Aztlan Mexican Nationalists, and of course LGBT Activists among other various special interests. Only a percentage of the Democrat Party actually consider themselves true Democrats over whatever cause they represent. They join the Democrat Party not because they want to, but because it is a binary choice and they cannot be Republicans.

Phony Republicans is a very well known issue. The same idea applies. Only a percentage people who call themselves Republicans actually have loyalty to the GOP. And it is for the same reason. It is a binary choice and they didn't want to be Democrats for whatever reason.

If America were more like other countries, there would be a dozen Parties or more to choose from, and several of them would ban together to form a ruling coalition. Because America is either (R) or (D), people are forced to choose one even if they do not really believe in the Party platform.
