South African former footballer Marc Batchelor has been shot dead near his home in Johannesburg.

Batchelor played for Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa.

"He was attacked by two men who were driving a motorbike," a police spokesman Col Lungelo Dlamini told South African Broadcasting Corporation.

Who did this? Here is a Sun article which I found a bit surprising. By the way, this is just an article, no confirmation of any sort of guilt by a party, the above article goes on to say nothing was robbed. Remember, that Pistorius guy was taken to court over the death of his wife, ran in the Olympics too I believe, artificial legs.

Batchelor, a former striker with South African side Kaizer Chiefs, had previously feuded with Pistiorius before the Paralympian was jailed for murdering girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

The ex-footballer claimed "blade runner" Pistorius threatened to break his legs after believing he had slept with his then-girlfriend Samantha Taylor.
