I have doubts if we could do this, today.

California can't build a train on time, on budget.

We turn to Tesla to put satelites in orbit.

Boeing uses cheap programmers from India, and people die.

We might have the technology to win battles in war, but I doubt we have the will to decisively win wars.

The Russian satellite was named Sputnik. What was ours named?

Explorer, followed by Vanguard 2 (see @Joe Wooten's picture of Vanguard 1).
For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16
I will NOT comply.

I hated that evil old bastard with a passion. He is the one man more responsible for the communist victory and take over in South Vietnam than anyone else, including the communist leadership. He did this when he went on the air and knowingly lied about Tet of 68 and called it a great victory for the communist cause.
Anyone who isn't paranoid in 2021 just isn't thinking clearly!
