Swalwell to hold news conference amid speculation he could exit presidential race
By Max Greenwood - 07/08/19 10:58 AM EDT

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) will hold a press conference Monday afternoon amid speculation that he may be dropping out of the Democratic primary contest.

The news conference at his Dunbar, Calif., headquarters is scheduled for 4 p.m. EST, his campaign said, though it did not provide details on what Swalwell planned to address.

Swalwell announced his campaign for the White House in April but has struggled to gain traction. Speculation has swirled in recent days that the California congressman could be preparing to exit the primary.

Well, I didn't know this guy was even running.  There are -- what --  470 Democrats in the race?  Can't possibly know them all.

It's a shame.  If he leaves, no one will miss him.

Yes, I didn't recognize the name either ... now down to 469 and counting.   :pop41:
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Never before in our country's history has a generation been so empowered, so wealthy, so privileged - and yet so empty.
