Obviously, all are entitled to their opinion.
So what is yours regarding Trump's judgement of character???????

Indeed.

By the by, what "set me off" about that post was twofold:
1.  Only the most simplistic reading would suggest that Trump wants to be Kim's BFF.  (It is about establishing a relationship that may come to bear in a positive manner at some point in a long negotiation.)
2.  Trump said nothing about Epstein this week.

That is all.

To answer your question: I believe that his ability to judge character (especially in professional settings) is abysmal.

Oh, the irony.

I posit that this new/renewed interest in Epstein is just the deep state's ongoing attempts to .....

(wait for it)...

GET TRUMP.....  ie get him out of office and out of DC....

by any means necessary.

So, the SDNY US Attorney, handpicked by Trump, to replace Preet Bahara is part of the DS, too?
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

We'll see.

I honestly hope that Trump gets in front of this and clarifies/explains himself and makes it clear in no uncertain terms he had nothing to do with any of Epstein's sexual predator antics.

Sadly knowing how he reacts to criticism or accusations...he won't do that.  And that will leave the door wide open for the Dems in Congress and in the media to pounce.

If we are all patient, we will see how this plays out over time...

The chips will eventually fall where they may....

Obviously the idiot media and punditry class have been all over this trying to spin it to their perceived advantage...

This early on, a great deal of what we hear and read is likely to be unsubstantiated supposition (at best), and in some cases out and out lies...

I believe that all people of good will and fair spirit want to see justice prevail on all that are proven guilty of these crimes...

Let us pray that it will be.

How the hell should I know?  I do know that being "handpicked" by Trump is no guarantee of an unbiased (not against Trump) job performance (duh)... and I also know that most of the aholes in NY are (now, anyway) rabidly anti-Trump.

It's no wonder that the entire topic has whipped folks into a frenzy (frothing, no less...lolol).  On one hand, if Bubba Clinton goes down, Hillary is also connected to the scandal, since she has clung to his coattails desperately ... even though.... as we all know ...she probably hates his guts by now.  On the other hand, if they intend to try to 'get Trump'.... they will have to sacrifice their precious Clintons in the process.  Whatever happens, the rats will lose something in their attempt to gain something (as usual).   I predict they will fail miserably on this, just like they've failed on everything else thus far.   :2popcorn:

Lol.... and he looks so very honest on tv (I'm not being sarcastic).  Point is... the left is salivating at the thought of connecting Trump to this newest/latest scandal.  Do you deny that?

That's what makes this so interesting....  that underlying (compound) question that most of us have: who is pulling these strings, and why are they being pulled at this moment?

Is there a level of desperation ramped so high (perhaps because of what may be happening (soon?) with Messrs. Barr and Durham, or some other reason?) that the perceived need to GET TRUMP is to the point that the Clintons and others are now viewed as expandable?  (Reference Pelosi's daughter's "Faves" Tweet very soon after the arrest news surfaced on Saturday evening.)

(Also HRC is supposedly tied to this directly (without having clung to WJC's coattails) as she is said to have been a passenger on the jet and multiple island visitor herself.)

What is the President supposed to "get ahead of" here?

That he knew Jeffrey Epstein?  Is there a person alive who doesn't know this?  But apparently few know just how small the multi-millionaire/billionaire world is.  They ALL know each other --- for business, contacts and prestige.  But "knowing" each other is a business associate, not the "knowing" you'll find in say .... Bumf**k, Ohio where "knowing" means friendship forged at little league games and church suppers.

That Jeffrey Epstein was at Mar-a-Lago?  Big effing whoop.  Every millionaire with a checkbook has been invited to at least one of the charity balls hosted at the estate, if they're lucky; often enjoying the club's amenities , such as the golf course, restaurant,  the pool and spa ---  as any host would make available for more than just Jeffrey Epstein.  What should Trump "get ahead of" here?

I'm more interested in knowing how many know that Trump had Epstein and his associates banned from Mar-a-Lago as soon as he learned of Epstein's advances on an employee and the recruitment efforts of young female employees by Epstein's associations.  Should he "get ahead of" this?

What about Trump's role in the initial prosecution of Epstein in 2009.  Shall the President "get ahead of" the voluntary assistance he gave to the prosecution that proved very helpful?

Donald Trump is one of the good guys in this sordid mess; whether or not some here like it.

When you use it as a personal insult, there is.

What if it is modified by "egg-shaped," does that make a difference in this context?

That's complete bullshit, @Sanguine

Show us all were in post #137 that it's a personal insult that deserves deleting the phrase "I TOLD YOU SO"! erection?

Evidently, you haven't learned a thing by jumping the gun the way you do.

Why @EdJames ?  I'd rather know the details first, including who approved the plea deal and why.  This has to do with a well known billionaire ..... "higher ups" had to have been involved.  In addition, a few reprinted reports from back then reported there was real fear Epstein would walk .... without so much as a slap on the wrist.

I'd like more dispassionate information before Acosta is cut loose.
