I'm not buying the deflection of responsibility.  Doesn't matter what Trump says or does, he's not responsible for the Antifa violence against his supporters, Antifa thugs are.

That's right - But that's nothing new either... That goes all the way back to Kent State.
And they will continue until they are met with violence... but the political PTB  don't like those optics.
Including Tump, for all his bluster.

Good point. Except he wasn’t deflecting, he was blaming the victim. Trump didn’t create the media monsters and leftist thugs acting out. They’ve been hiding there in plain sight the whole time.

And isn't blaming Trump, rightly or wrongly, for the political violence of the left tacit admission that the left is in fact more violent than they have been in the past?

No.

Then those blaming Trump for violent rhetoric are just blowing smoke.

How so?

It makes no sense to respond to leftwing violence by blaming Trump because, according to you, the left is no more violent now than they were under Bush.

No, that the left has always been violent, and that Tumpy incites them can both be true.

That defies observation.  The most the leftists did under Bush was to mock him, this bunch is beating people who wear MAGA caps enough to put them in the hospital.  The most the right ever did to Obastard was to mock him, too.

Antifa is probably just the spawn of the formerly violent leftist union thugs.   Same leftists, same violence, different nic.

Inciting/staging riots in cities and on campuses don't count?

How about trying to poison (kill) GWB at the G8 summit?   Must have been those pesky Dominican Republicans!   333cleo

It's just a matter of fact that the left always has resorted to violence.

I'm not following you on this.  Other than a joke once about paying somebody's legal bills way back in 2016, I don't recall Trump telling people to go out and kick peoples heads in.

I know the leftists have always had violent tendencies.  I think there's been a shifting of gears in going after Trump supporters, in addition to going after Trump himself.  Am I being fooled by pro-Trump media?

I think you misunderstood him.  He was responding to your comment "The most the leftists did under Bush was to mock him" and refuting it.   At least, that's how I took it.

I never said he did. That he has not incited to violence does not mean that he doesn't incite.

I see no difference in how it manifests. Your argument is toward whose ox is being gored, which is just another political calculation for the left.

Since I do believe God is firmly in control, I am forced to agree.  (lol)
But..... the reveal might have come a bit too late, I fear.   I just keep thinking about how we (the USA), as the only friend of Israel, are not mentioned in the Bible re: the end times.  Why not?
@XenaLee
Some Christian believe and preach that the USA is what is called New Jerusalem in John and Revelation. I'm not Christian so I do not know if this is a mainstream opinion.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

Wow.  Will have to research that.  I abhor tv televangelists and do not attend church, so I'm a bit out of the loop re: what "they" believe.

Thanks!

I don't agree it's a "ox being gored" thing but rather a matter of degree.  Try as I might, I just don't recall Republican protesters bashing in the heads of Obastard supporters in the streets on such a widespread basis, and Police being instructed to ignore felonious assault.

Never forget this:

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

-Ayn Rand-
