Democrat presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke claimed this week that migrants have "no choice" but to come to the United States because of climate change caused by American "excesses."

"And we've got to remember that they are fleeing the deadliest countries on the face of the planet today compounded by drought that was caused not by God, not by mother nature, but by us, man-made climate change, our emissions, our excesses, our inaction in the face of the facts and the science," O'Rourke said. "When it is that deadly and when you're unable to grow your own food to feed yourself, you have no choice but to come here."

2020 Democratic candidate and Congressman Beto Oâ€™Rourke told demonstrators outside the Homestead Temporary Shelter for Unaccompanied Children that the children from Central America â€œhad no choice but to come hereâ€ because climate change had damaged their home countries.

He blamed rising temperatures for causing droughts, which made food supply scarce. Oâ€™Rourke claimed these circumstance forced the people to come to the U.S. border and cross illegally.

Oâ€™Rourke was the fourth 2020 Democrat candidate to visit the protesters at the facility, where thousands of young people, mostly teens, most of whom arrived unaccompanied, are being held temporarily until they can be placed with U.S. sponsors.

A while ago, on this site, someone posted a poll were 31% of the respondents said the Democrat party is the main stream. They seem bound and determined to bring that down to the 20s.
