Joe Biden was in a “no-win situation” during his clash with 2020 rival Kamala Harris at the Democratic debate, Rep. Cedric Richmond argued Friday.

Richmond, a national co-chair for the former vice president’s campaign, said Biden would have been labeled a bully if he stood up to Harris.

“The truth of the matter is I think he did well. The other part is, I think he was in a no-win situation. If he does too well, he’s a bully. If he does average, they’ll say he did a very terrible job,” Richmond told CNN.

“He stayed above the fray. He specifically said he would not beat up on other Democratic candidates because his sole purpose is to beat Donald Trump, not to beat up on other candidates,” he said.

You are correct.  Trump did irreparable damage to the GOP and that damage will last long after he is removed from office.

I think the GOP shed enough votes in 2016 to remain a minority party past 2018 and 2020.  They have no record to run on so they're left with insults.  Marianne Williamson looks like the dumbest unhinged fringe candidate for the rats.  If past is prologue, She'll probably be our next President.

At this stage in the game, good or bad publicly equals name recognition.  Harris should be extremely happy with her debate performance.
