Are Abortion & Gay Rights American Values?

by Patrick J. Buchanan

June 11, 2019

“My religion defines who I am. And I’ve been a practicing Catholic my whole life,” said Vice President Joe Biden in 2012. “I accept my church’s position on abortion as … doctrine. Life begins at conception. … I just refuse to impose that on others.”

For four decades, Biden backed the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits the use of the tax dollars of Joe’s fellow Catholics to pay for what they view as the killing of the innocent unborn.

Last week, Joe flipped. He now backs the repeal of the Hyde Amendment.

Shallow Joe....a man of true commitment.

Abortion is genocide.  Plain and simple.  The UGLY TRUTH is that the focus on abortion is eugenics.  The systemic methodology of keeping the undesirable element of our society to a minimum.  Idiots like Obama and Clinton praise all of this.  It is wrong.

Abortion is not in the best interest of this nation.  We need 2.1 births per couple to sustain our population, and our population is far off the mark.  End abortion, and this number begins to normalize.  Our policies as a nation on abortion are self destructive.  Makes no sense.

Natural Law, which existed w/the creation of Man, was codified in Ancient Greece,
predating Aristotle and Plato.
It defined the natural order governing behavior, classifying both abortion and
homosexuality as forbidden being destructive of the family unit; the bedrock of
culture/society.
That there is even a question says everything about our decline.

That sums it up nicely.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I imagine someone like John Finnis would be a little surprised by the assertion that natural law was all worked out by the ancient Greeks and that all that’s left is mechanically applying it.
