I linked a few songs (upthread) and have to admit one song I just fell in love with was one I had never heard... Come to find out it was probable his last song... and I never heard it (hangs head in shame)...

It was called "Sadly, Beautiful"....  and it talks about how his fade will wipe the memories of life from him and he will slip away not knowing even the face he loved. Dang what a great song to go out on.
Exodus 18:21 Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them as leaders over ....

Wayfaring Stranger (Glen and Jerry Reed - I like this whole session, but I'm especially fond of Glen and Jerry's version of Wayfaring Stranger, especially Jerry's guitar work. Queue up to about 6:12 for that song.)

@Sighlass

If we're going sad, we're going to do it all the way. I've had a very weepy day. I recently lost my dog, and there are days I struggle to get through it. This was one of those days, so I figure why stop now. On top of that, the Astros have lost their last 5 games. So grab a Kleenex and let's get those tears emptied out!

Sadly, Beautiful (not the best quality but an honest performance in which you can hear the early onset of the disease)

I'm Not Going to Miss You (the paradox of Alzheimer's)

A Better Place (I'll get to see and hear him again as we sing praises to our Savior)

Long, Slow Train out of Town - A Salute to Glen Campbell by Jeff Dayton (This is prerecorded as opposed to a live performance, but it encapsulates the long goodbye that were Glen's final years.  :crying:)

I think you have me on the country song lyrics there buddy.... my grandpa always carried a napkin cloth... I think you have had a two hanky day...

So let me tell you a pick up story... I had a cat, his name was Westley, I name all my male cats Westley for some reason. He was an outside cat that didn't mind a tromp in the house and a hug. One day driving back home from work, I saw Westley run over by the side of the road a block from the house (he always did roam a bit even though he was neutered). I went home and got a heavy duty black bag to put him in to take home to bury. I dug the hole in backyard next to my dad's old dead pickup, sniffed a bit and started to lower him in his grave. Suddenly the real LIVE Westley jumped up on the truck and "meowed" a solid "What are You Doing?".... Yep, I had just buried the wrong cat (not mine)...

I had my ole cat a number more years... when he did pass away, cried all the more.

So have you ever buried the wrong animal... lol

 :silly: Literally laughing out loud! I'd have paid good money to see your face when Westley appeared! What a relief for you.
