Police shoot man who claimed to have a bomb at Swedish station

Swedish police shot and injured a man who claimed to have a bomb and threatened to blow up a railway station today.

Officers opened fire on the man and hit him in both legs in Malmo, southern Sweden, after he was heard shouting: 'I have a bomb'. 

The station in downtown Malmo, a major hub for rail traffic, was evacuated as a bomb squad went to examine the scene.

However police say it is unlikely that he really had a bomb, saying: 'It looks like it was nothing serious'.
