Nearly 100 people have been killed in an attack in a village in central Mali inhabited by the Dogon ethnic group, officials say.


The attack happened in Sobame Da, near Sanga town in the Mopti region.

The search for bodies is ongoing, but officials say 95 people have been found dead, with many of the bodies burned.

Dogon People , looks like their religion is "primitive" with largely no mention of Islam or Christianity. All the same, sad. The BBC article says this is a continuing conflict between the two peoples, Dogon and Fulani; but those Fulani are in the news a lot for the wrong reasons.

Dogon, the article says, are a big attraction. They look like something you'd see in a Tarzan movie.
