Obama Shows The World His Lack Of Knowledge Of The U.S. Constitution

by Jeff Dunetz | Jun 2, 2019 | Politics

As we and others reported on Friday, former President Barack Hussein Obama lied about U.S. gun laws while speaking at VTEX DAY, the largest digital innovation event in Latin America, which is held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  When he was done lying about gun laws, the former president demonstrated that he didn’t know the difference between the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

During his San Paulo address Obama, who used to be a constitutional law professor at the University of Chicago Law School said:

But - but - but I thought, in addition to be a professor, he was the greatest Constitutional scholar in the United States! *****rollingeyes*****

Obama was the same as the leftist college profs I knew in college who were certain they had the answers to what ailed the country and the world...... free market capitalism exploiting the peasants and workers directed by the Great Evil the U.S.
The profs finally got one of their own with Obama. In their eyes America is the great evil in the world keeping the world's oppressed down by invading their countries and taking their wealth.
Quite a few college profs really believe that idiocy.
And, of course, many or all of them believe white America still oppresses non-white Americans under a racist system of "white supremacy" and police terror.
Which is why academia, mostly of the college type, is the worst leftist power structure afflicting America.

Obama was never a Constitutional law professor, or any other professor for that matter.  Working for twelve years as a lecturer, he never earned a promotion to associate professor.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

I don't think it's ignorance as much as it is contempt.  He knows those old, dead, white guys had nothing meaningful to say, so he doesn't even bother to know what they said.

He's only showing the world what he showed us from the outset.

And (thanks in big part to dubious candidates to oppose him) he was elected twice, anyway.

Obama is upset that the constitution is a list of "negative" rights. The government cannot take away your right to _______ and so on.
Obama wants the constitution to be a "positive" one.
The problem with that idea is that it denies the idea of natural rights.
There is nothing negative about the constitution. It assumes your rights are natural something a gov. cannot take away.
By making it a list of "positive" rights, Obama would give government power it is not supposed to have.
In short, he completely misunderstands the meaning of the constitution.

His Excellency Al-Hashish Field Marshmallow Dr. Barack Obama Dada, COD, RIP, LSMFT, Would-Have-Been Life President of the Republic Formerly Known as the United States, believes in the suprerogatory State instead of a properly construed government.

That would not put him entirely out of line with several presidents in my lifetime, but as such presidents go he's merely been one of the least apologetic about it. His belief in "positive" rights assuredly is not a belief that they extend to citizens but begin and end with the State.
