The public health situation in the nation's second-largest city is in "a complete breakdown," Dr. Drew Pinsky said Thursday night on "The Ingraham Angle."

“We have a complete breakdown of the basic needs of civilization in Los Angeles right now,” Pinsky told host Laura Ingraham. “We have the three prongs of airborne disease, tuberculosis is exploding, (and) rodent-borne. We are one of the only cities in the country that doesn’t have a rodent control program, and sanitation has broken down.”

"No city tolerates this" -- I thought similar problems were occurring in SF and Seattle.  Probably also getting bad in other major cities where Democrats rule. 

Whatever.  Until and unless the resident taxpayers demand their city leaders fix the problems, the spread of disease will continue.  Just don't come crying to DC looking for federal aid.  I don't want my tax dollars paying for their stupidity.

The left coast cities Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles are proving the dictum: liberals eventually ruin everything.
While the first three didn't have the high crime rates of many large east coast cities, they are proving that left with the power (no pun intended) liberals do not know how to run anything. Disease will accomplish the ruination of those cities that violent crime has not. Portland does have a thug for a mayor, so it may yet succumb to lawlessness.

Pinsky’s comments followed news that Los Angeles police officer had contracted typhoid fever, a rare and life-threatening illness that fewer than 350 Americans contract each year.

Rampant illegal immigration, homelessness, rodent infestation, and infectious disease are just a few of the many serious problems afflicting today’s LA, according to reports. And in the eyes of Dr. Pinsky, the California mecca is now, in many ways, worse-off than many Third World countries because of it all.

“We have a complete breakdown of the basic needs of civilization in Los Angeles right now,” Dr. Pinsky stated frankly to Laura Ingraham during the segment.

LAPD cops are so angry over filthy conditions at downtown station, some are planning to revolt

"Rats/rodents, fleas, roaches, flies, gnats, mosquitoes and grasshoppers ..."

 Los Angeles police officers are so angry at the filthy and unhealthy conditions at the downtown station that serves skid row that they are considering transferring away to another station.

The report from the Los Angeles Times documents the frustration and anger from officers who believe their health is being threatened by working under the horrible conditions.

Also, I believe that illegals can bring in all strains of flu at the least. A few years ago, this adolescent black boy in St. Louis died; and all signs were that the flu strain came in from Central America... so this is indeed, another way Americans can die....

Cities need to sort this out, LA has for a very long time, 50 years even, had their "Skid Row" area, bums, alcoholics, rescue missions but this other going on now is massive compared to that.
