Beto: We only have '10 years' left to address climate change
« on: April 30, 2019, 06:18:49 pm »
Appearing on MSNBC, O'Rourke promoted his proposal but was asked about his prior support from the oil and gas industry, and whether the relationship would be a problem going forward.

"Do you see the oil and gas industry as an opponent in that? Won't you have to declare yourself in opposition to their interests?" MSNBC host Chris Hayes asked.

O'Rourke responded "yes," but said he is optimistic that the industry will take part in his initiative.

"We know that certain oil and gas corporations have been fighting public policy on this issue, have been hiding their own science and research at the expense of our climate and human life," O'Rourke told Hayes. "So whenever those two things come in contrast or in opposition, I'm always going to choose the people of this country."

"Having said that, I want to make sure those who work in the oil and gas industry, those who work in the fossil fuel industry are brought along as partners to make sure that we make this transition in the ten years we have left to us as the science and scientists tell us to make the kind of bold change that we need,

So what happens if the oil and gas industry don’t give their acquiesce to his demands?
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

First of all, I do not deny climate change, or even some human/fossill fuel contribution to it.

But I am a bit of a studentof science, and a couple of days ago I viewed a video about tens of thousands of years history of Britain; people migrating there and leaving due to climatic reasons, coming back again and again.

They state they do NOT know why waves of icea ages, were.

My avatar shows the national debt in stacks of $100 bills.  If you look very closely under the crane you can see the Statue of Liberty.

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

They state they do NOT know why waves of icea ages, were.
The climate has changed drastically periodically since the Earth was formed up to today. The term 'climate change' (as if that is somehow a bad thing) is ridiculously STUPID. Of course the climate is changing. It has changed for billions of years and thank God for that. If the climate did not "change" there would be no life (or very little life) on Earth.

Most serious scientists (meaning scientists not lying for funding dollars) believe that ice ages and the ebb and flow of Earth's climate is due to changes in global volcanic activity which can at its apex blot out the sun to a degree and can spew more CO2 into the air than mankind could ever dream of, combined with normal cyclical changes in the sun which naturally ebbs and flows of its own accord.
Currently, humans simply do not have the power to change the climate of the Earth on a global scale. While there are defined localized changes due to smog and pollution, such as in LA and China, these changes do not affect the world as a whole or if they do, the effect is so minimal as to not be measurable on a global scale.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

Levin had a scientist on his show(Fox Network), and he completely debunked climate change, saying it was based on quite a few false assumptions.  And of all the different groups sampling climate, only one was accurate, from Russia.

I have never heard anyone say a word that proves anything other than Al Gore wanting to steal our money to become a multi billionaire.  Thieves one and all.

* The Earth is 4,600,000,000 years old.
* Nature is cyclical.

I like to ask any adherent to the climate change religion I run into, "Are we earthlings to blame for temperature fluctuations on the other planets in the solar system?" I get open-mouthed stares or they ask if that it's true that other planets experience "climate change."
