Army's first female four-star general named 2019 Thayer Award recipient

WEST POINT, N.Y. (Tribune News Service) — Gen. Ann Dunwoody, the first woman in U.S. history to achieve the rank of four-star general, has been named the 2019 recipient of the Sylvanus Thayer Award, the West Point Association of Graduates announced this week.
Dunwoody will be presented with the medal at a ceremony at West Point on Oct. 10. She will be honored with a parade by the corps of cadets prior to the ceremony.
