Karnataka couple stabbed in Munich, 1 dead

MANGALURU: A software engineer from Kundapur in Udupi was stabbed to death and his wife injured after they were attacked by a Guinean near the German city of Munich on Friday. Prashant Basarur, 49, died of multiple stab wounds while his wife Smita, 43, is critical.

Indian authorities said preliminary investigations did not seem to suggest that it was a case of hate crime.

Foreign minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted that the couple had been stabbed by an "immigrant" near Munich. The accused was a neighbour of the couple.

This is pretty bad, 3 week old article I stumbled on. A "Guinean" means from Guinea, the country in Africa.  Tourists have met up with foul play here. We are not perfect, still, with that other story on the Munich St. Paul Cathedral, I thought I'd post this too.
