Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., said it remains a mystery why special counsel Robert Mueller did not prosecute Donald Trump Jr.

Blumenthal’s comments came Friday during an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” He cited a “montage” of evidence against President Donald Trump’s son in the report.

“Another mystery here for me is, why did Bob Mueller not recommend charges against Donald Trump Jr. given the absolute montage of evidence against him?" Blumenthal said.

Newsweek said Trump Jr., appeared at greatest legal jeopardy over his involvement in the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting, where he and others met with Kremlin-linked lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya.

The president, in his written answers to Mueller, said he didn’t recall knowing about the meeting.

If I recall Barr's comments correctly there was no evidence that any American coordinated with the Russians. So, what evidence does Blumenthal have against Trump Jr. that Mueller overlooked?

Evidence (nor laws supporting a position) are not needed when you have 90% of the media issuing propaganda on your behalf.

If you listen/see what the media has been spouting since Thursday, you would think that the Mueller report claimed numerous "high crimes and misdemeanors" by Trump.

Damn shame this is Trump Jr being stalked and accused. If it were Jorge Bush or some other "legacy Republican" it MIGHT be enough to wake up the alleged Republican Party and get them to fire back in kind.

Donald Trump is a fool regarding the media.  90%+ of the fake media continue with endless lies, and as a conservative, I am frankly tired of it.  So, to bring balance to the White House Press Corps, remove all those representing media that are the worst fake news offenders and replace them with folks from publications and networks that present at a minimum balanced news, or conservative news.

It can be done, and let the NYT, WP, CNN, et al get their info from AP.
