2020 hopeful Pete Buttigieg says he and husband want a child soon

Democratic presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg announced that he and his husband are planning to have a child soon.

Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, revealed their plan at a rally in Brooklyn on Monday, just one day after he officially launched his 2020 presidential campaign.

Buttigieg, fondly referred to as "Mayor Pete," made the reveal while answering questions about his views on paid family leave, an issue he said he has a "personal stake in."

"We're hoping to have a little one soon, so I have a personal stake in this one, too," Buttigieg said. "We should have paid parental leave and find a way to have paid leave for anyone who needs caring."

Buttigieg, 37, expanded on his plans with his husband, Chasten, in an interview with MSNBC late Monday, noting that his presidential campaign had slowed down their trek to fatherhood a bit.

"This running for president has slowed down the path," he told MSNBC.

"My husband, he is made for a lot of things. He is a great educator. He has become a great public figure, coming out of the gate," Buttigieg added. "He is going to be an amazing father. I can't wait to see -- I hope I will be good at it, too. I can't wait to see him have that chance."

Indeed and not to mention all the media attention 'they' will get. I can only imagine if he gets the nomination; first openly gay man is soon to be with child'! Name recognition and immediate news coverage that could continue on until they have their child.

I know a few couples that have gaybies. In some cases, one partner has children from a previous marriage. The natural children sometimes have to reconcile that dad left the family and got new children that he loves. The natural children also have to reconcile that they exist as a paradox because dad was never attracted to mom. IOW they shouldn't even exist. Not only that, they are somewhat told "It's not dad's fault that he abandoned you so you need to get over it. He is a hero.". Not in those words but that is the implication.
The adopted children eventually realize they were a prop, a political pawn. Not all the time but much of the time.
Gay men adopting is a fairly recent thing while lesbian couples have been raising kids for a very long time. A kid in my daughter's preschool 25 years ago was being raised by a lesbian threesome.

Homosexual behavior is a violation of Natural Law which
asserts the Family unit of Father, Mother and Children
is the bedrock of culture, society and therefore civilization.
Its popular acceptance is a definitive precursor of our decline.
