Reparations? Please!

The Democratic presidential candidates are parading in front of Al Sharpton’s National Action Network, and the topic of the day is reparations:

    Beto O’Rourke had just finished speaking about racial injustice to the National Action Network when the Rev. Al Sharpton, its president, pushed him to say a little more.

    “Your fellow Texan, Sheila Jackson Lee, has proposed a commission to study reparations,” Sharpton said. “If that passes, and you are president of the United States, would you sign that bill?”

    O’Rourke, who had spent 15 minutes talking about how white America left black America behind, didn’t hesitate. “Yes,” he said, to applause and a few surprised cheers.

O’Rourke is not alone.

Reparations make sense, provided two simple rules are followed:  Identify who exactly was harmed, and who exactly should pay. 

Reparations from all white people to all black people fails this test.  Many white peoples' ancestors didn't own slaves (and actually gave their lives to free them) and many black people are not descendants of slaves, having come from the Caribbean or Africa post Civil War on their own volition.

In short, no black people living today were slaves, no white people were slave-owners.
If you can give money taken from living people who didn't cause past suffering to people whose ancestors suffered for some reason, you've opened up a pandora's box of grief.
All the reasons why current blacks don't deserve reparations have been listed umpteen times. But you'll never stop people who are determined to take money they don't deserve by merely chastising them.
If liberal Dems want to push the country to another civil war, a reparations program is one great way to add fuel to the fire.

Even if the idea of reparations is eventually dismissed/defeated, progressives will eventually want some sort of penalty for being white with the money going to non-whites.
Progressives in this country are hellbent on punishing whites for the sin of "white privilege."  If they cannot force some sort of reparations/theft from claims of harm from slavery,  they will try to penalize whites for being white. Hook or by crook....mostly crook.
We already have affirmative action i.e. affirmative discrimination where many thousands of unqualified or underqualified blacks are given jobs/positions over more-qualified whites or Asian-Americans.
It is not much more of a stretch to simply tax people for being white claiming they benefit unduly from "white supremacy."
It won't be much longer that will be a plank at the Dem Party prez conventions.

Ok,but only if we talk about the reparations black people owe white people for feeding,clothing,housing,and giving them free medical care and even an allowance so they could buy drugs,alcohol,and weapons to rob us while trying to destroy our civilization.

This minority of our population has committed more crimes and contributed less to our nation than any other group of people you can name.

If the democrat-communists ever get enough power to push this through Congress, it will create a racial divide in America that will NEVER be repairable.

Hmmm... almost as if that didn't pretty much exist right now.

It would seem appropriate that the descendants of those who sold the people into slavery to begin with (i.e. African slave traders) would be the ones on the hook for reparations.

If the person wanting to steal your money is an unmitigated thief, it's useless to try and reason with him or her.
No amount of logic and reason will dent their thick skulls. They want your money, and will stop at nothing to get it.
