Nearly 1 in 3 American men aged 18-29 didn’t have sex in 2018

The percentage of young adults who said they did not have sex in the last year hit an all-time high in 2018.

The share of Americans aged 18-29 who said they have had no sex in the last year doubled between 2008 and 2018 to 23 percent, the Washington Post reported.

The lack of sex is being driven mainly by young men. In the last decade the share of young men saying they had no sex in the last year has nearly tripled to 28 percent. Young women have seen an increase since 2008 of 8 percentage points.

Jean Twenge, a psychology professor at San Diego State University, said that partnering up later in life is contributing to sexlessness.

“There are more people in their twenties who don’t have a live-in partner,” she said. “So under those circumstances I think less sex is going to happen.”

Participation in the labor force among young men has also declined in the last decade, and young men are more likely to live with their parents than young women.

“When you’re living at home it’s probably harder to bring sexual partners into your bedroom,” Twenge said.

She also cited technology as a factor. “There are a lot more things to do at 10 o’clock at night now than there were 20 years ago,” Twenge said. “Streaming video, social media, console games, everything else.”

I suspect a big reason is the ease at which folks can access free pornography.   It's a heck of lot more hassle-free and cheaper than dating.

Yeah, it’s completely the females’ fault, lol. 

Has anyone heard of the term “waifu?”  It means a millennial guy’s favorite anime character.  They have imaginary relationships with their waifu, sometimes marry her, and have body-sized waifu pillows.  These are the reclusive losers who can’t get a date or can’t be bothered to go outside long enough to establish normal human relationships.   

When their mindset takes a more malignant turn, they’re called incels, and they’re all over Twitter, Reddit, etc.  They develop hatred for women and blame them for their situation.  You can find them talking about rape fantasies, and sharing instructions on how to stalk women.   The ones who don’t flirt with violence are full of wisdom.  They sagely advise each other that it’s hard for women to be moral, that women are meant to be accents to a man’s life and know their place, and it’s best to find a woman who can be dominated.  Keeping your woman a little uncertain about how you feel is smart.  When they get older they’ll sign up at TOS and order a wife from the Philippines.

Women do have their issues.  So do men, clearly.
