I am tired of your generalization about native born Americans.
My neighbor and his brother have owned a paining contractor business, for 40 years. They paint new subdivision homes in 5 or more counties in SoCal.
He is personally VERY conservative. Yet years ago, he stated the illegals were reliable workers, while the native borns were not reliable and were prone to drug and alcohol.
And FYI an employee only has to provide two documents, that show residency,, for the employer to copyand keep on file. With Form I9
The employer is NOT expected to determine the validity of the documents. So he knows many of his workers, are probably not legal.
There is an age old practice during immigration. An early arrival, gets a job. He notifies his relatives/friends and neighbors back home, to come on along.
That is what many of our European ancestors did also.
The first arival notes the employer needs more workers. The employer tell the first arrival, if theywork ike you do, tell them to come.
