Gay Black Privilege.

With a dose of Michelle Obama's influence for good measure.

Looking like someone pulled some strings......[Michelle}...cough cough

Andrew McCarthy says he must know someone with connections..... pointing-up

The state’s attorney’s office just came out and said that because this would have been Smollet’s first offense (aside from lying to the police a few years ago during a DUI stop), he would most likely only be given a sentence of community service, and that he has been good for the community and thus has already performed “community service.”

We're told Chicago police are "furious" and feel something untoward is going on with Kim Foxx.
(They weren't notified)

The union which represents the police in Chicago is calling for State's Attorney Kim Foxx to face investigation from the Attorney General for her handling of the investigation.

Among their concerns are text messages exchanged between Foxx and Smollett's relatives.

One, written by Smollett's relative after Foxx told them she was trying to convince the police to hand over the probe, is of particular worry.

Smollett's relative, who was not identified when the texts became public earlier this month via a records arrest, replied: 'OMG this would be a huge victory' when Foxx said she was 'trying' to get it handed over.

Their concern is whose interests she was working on when she, after being contacted by former Michelle Obama aide Tina Tchen, tried to steer the probe in the direction that the Smollett family wanted.

This all started with "White's wearing a MAGA hat attacked me!"

The fact that the case is sealed tells you all you need to know about this nonsense.

This is a political decision, not a law decision.

I think I'm going to wait for Geragos to go upriver without a paddle.  Smollett is just a very small fish, after all.  Geragos can help Avenattti buy lots and lots of time in a very big house.  Well, either that or maybe... just maybe ... Michelle could have helped.  A little.

Rahm attacking Jussie....hope to find the transcript

Livid Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel Insists Jussie Smollett Is Guilty: “Is There No Decency In This Man?”

Quote
A visibly angry Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson dismissed Jussie Smollett’s latest insistence on his innocence and decried the prosecutors’ dismissal of criminal charges against the Empire actor as, in Emanuel’s words, “a whitewash.”

Johnson said, as bluntly as he has before, that Smollett conducted a “hoax” to further his own financial gain.

Emanuel lambasted Smollett as selfishly exploiting hate-crime laws for his own personal gain. “He took those laws and turned them inside out and upside down,” the mayor said, repeatedly reminding reporters that a grand jury heard the case and brought the charges against Smollett.

This story isn't finished.

I could write a helluva script.

Jussie didn't conjure this all up himself. Somebody high up in the DNC or former Obama Whitehouse were aware of the escapade.

So he pulls a 'Hillary', threatening to bring down others.

Now...if he were to end up like Seth Rich some night, who would be the one with the most to gain?

Some lone assailant with a grudge?  Or the Left looking to create a diversion and division?

Curiouser, curiouser. Atty Mark Geragos.

State Attorney says can't be tried in the media.

I think they used the timing, of maximum scorn for media, to use media to set Jussie free.

There were rumors earlier that Kamala Harris and Cory Booker might have been involved in contriving this thing as a supplement to Booker's 'hate crime' bill.

I have noticed those two blowhards have been as quiet as church 'rats lately.

This won't play well down state, specifically in Peoria.  The outrage over this move is just beginning, @The Ghost.

Remember, he still has a pending federal mail fraud charge.

@ABX

I honestly had not heard a word about that. What are the charges based on?

If it is a federal charge,he may have a tougher time getting that one to bounce. It generally costs a LOT more to bribe a feral official.

Jussie Smollett had pals of his in the Cook County State's Attorney's ear early on in his case -- and, based on leaked correspondence, it looks like she acted on his behalf.

Texts and emails between State Attorney Kim Foxx and two Jussie allies -- one of which is reported to be a family member of his -- have been leaked, and they show that Foxx was asked to intervene in the case a few days after he'd reported the alleged attack to Chicago PD. It appears that she did exactly that ... and kept Jussie's camp in the loop.

Apparently Jussie has friends who can make things happen at the federal level.

Maybe the DOJ can take an interest in his case. After all, this twit’s smear attempt was political in nature and was an indirect attack on the current occupant of the WH.

Jussie Smollett spent two days volunteering with Jesse Jackson Sr.’s nonprofit group, a key factor that led prosecutors on Tuesday to drop all charges against the actor for allegedly staging a fake hate-crime against himself.
A letter from the Rainbow PUSH Coalition said the “Empire” actor spent “several hours volunteering” with the group on Saturday and Monday.
“Empire” music director Rich Daniels also penned a letter in support of Smollett, where he highlighted the actor’s surprise visit to a Chicago-based arts school.
“The charges were dropped in return for Mr. Smollett’s agreement to do community service and forfeit his $10,000 bond to the City of Chicago,” the Cook County State Attorney’s Office told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

The community service he did was 2 days at Jessie Jackson's Rainbow Push Coalition, spending his 16 hours in the library, and a guest on their radio show. That is 1 hour for each felony charge.
