Nancy Pelosi Vows To Reject Classified Briefing On Mueller Report
The House speaker said any briefing must be unclassified so that members of Congress can talk publicly about the findings.

Democrats in Congress are gearing up for a fight to ensure that special counsel Robert Mueller’s findings are made public, calling for the release of the full report.

On Friday, Mueller submitted his report to Attorney General William Barr, who now has to determine what to do with the conclusions from the 22-month investigation that resulted in charges against 34 people. As a start, he is expected to send lawmakers a summary of the findings as early as Sunday.

Democrats are pushing for transparency on the report, pressuring Barr to release as much information as possible.

“Now that Special Counsel Mueller has submitted his report to the Attorney General, it is imperative for Mr. Barr to make the full report public and provide its underlying documentation and findings to Congress,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said in a joint statement.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi told Democrats on Saturday she’ll rebuff any efforts by the Justice Department to reveal details of special counsel Robert Mueller's findings in a highly classified setting — a tactic she warned could be employed to shield the report's conclusions from the public.

Three sources who participated in a conference call among House Democrats said Pelosi (D-Calif.) told lawmakers she worried the Justice Department would seek to disclose Mueller's conclusions to the so-called Gang of Eight — the top Democrats and Republicans in the House and Senate — which handles the nation’s most sensitive secrets. The substance of Gang of Eight briefings are heavily guarded.

“Everyone pounded the transparency drum continuously,” said a source who was on the Saturday afternoon call.

Pelosi said it was her belief that the findings of the report should be unclassified, a consistent theme from Democrats who said they wanted Attorney General William Barr to share virtually every scrap of paper connected to the Mueller report with Congress.

So in other words the Mueller report is only valuable to the DEMS if they can put their spin on it and release those findings to the public.  Got it.

Unless there is solid, indisputable evidence of Trump colluding with Russia, then the investigation needs to conclude and the country needs to be able to finally move forward.

IF there is evidence of collusion then that evidence needs to be made known to the public and impeachment proceedings started; otherwise quit wasting America's time and money!

We got 2 stories that boldly proclaim in the headline that Pelosi will reject a redacted Mueller report, but the word "reject" never appear in the story.  What does "reject" a report authorized by the DoJ even mean?!?  I want to know what happens if Pelosi sends the report back to Mueller.  Does he laugh or laugh loudly?

She's not "rejecting the Report."  What she's objecting to is a classified briefing, which she won't be able to blab selectively for spin. 

There will likely be redactions (if Mueller is half the partisan I think he is he loaded the report with a lot of "sources and methods" poison pills that can't be publicly released).  The purpose of a classified briefing would be to explain those redactions, so Pelosi is posturing.  In effect, this is the equivalent of sticking her fingers in her ears and singing "La la la!"

The behavior on the part of the Rats isn't new at all.  It's the same tactic they took during the Clinton Impeachment when they refused to look at any of the evidence presented to the Senate by the House Impeachment Manager (Lindsey Graham).

That's what I am wondering.  Exactly what does "reject" the report mean?  So, she rejects it meaning that she doesn't believe it? If so, who in the heck cares?  Nothing new that the DEMS reject everything that doesn't go their way.

Correct.  They want all the evidence Mueller considered made public so that can start it all over again, this time with a Rat stamp on it.  Would be good for two more years of "scandal," three if Trump runs and wins in 2020.
