Fair enough.
What must be done to not only stop the advancement of islamic ideology, but to cleanse it from our midst?
What means will need to be used to achieve that end?
Is "the end" (in this case) one that will require that any and all "means" be used?
Stopping the advancement: Quit calling a political ideology or even a religion a "race"--because it isn't. It's a belief system for political governance. We don't call Communists a "race". We don't call Catholics a "race", We shouldn't afford such status to Muslims.
So, enough of the "racist" BS.
We have laws. We have a Constitution. Let's go by them, but not allow them to be violated. If the beliefs of others are so strong that they are incompatible with affording the same rights to others that they themselves desire, then they aren't going to do well here and should leave. There are plenty of other places on the globe they can practice their beliefs without conflict with our Constitution. Go there.
Deport any who reveal such traitorous intent by their actions. They have the freedom to say what they want to, but that doesn't mean there will be no consequences. If you insult me, I just might punch you in the nose.
This is our country. Don't like it? Don't like the rules? Don't unpack, just keep going.
Unfortunately, the point persists that without dialogue, without the ability to discuss what is going on without being shouted down as a racist or a xenophobe or islamophobe, the problems will only fester until they come to a head. The more that pressure builds, the more likely that violent action will be perceived as the only remedy, by both sides.
As far as the fruits of dialogue, realistically, only a Chamberlain can expect anything much to come from that. The tenets of the Muslim belief are
written (a word that takes on special significance in that culture, the equivalent of 'carved in stone' in the West), and changing so much as a syllable of the Koran is punishable by death--always has been. There is no 'New, Improved Modern Translation': It is what it is.
That doesn't leave any wiggle room for concessions.
