What happened?
It is spelled: corruption.
It appears that the former Minister of Justice and Attorney General was pressured to help a crooked Quebec construction company settle a criminal case and avoid prosecution over allegations that it bribed officials in Libya for large government contracts.
How much, you ask?
Lots.
Fifty million dollars.
The AG (Jody Wilson-Raybould) faced veiled threats and pressures from Trudeau to fix the deal.
That would mean doing injustice—not exactly her job title.
Trudeau denied the allegations.
But it has all backfired and come tumbling back on him.
It has caused a national outrage — from St. Johns, Newfoundland straight across the country all the way to British Columbia.
The AG has resigned from the cabinet, and now so have others.
